ALL THE THINGS
I WANT TO BUY
A recurring series of all the pretty things I want. Some I bought, some I’m pining for, some might never make it to my closet. But a girl can dream.
01 BOYISH JEANS
This LA brand randomly makes size 22 denim that fits me right off the rack and I couldn’t be more over the moon about it. I’ve bought a few of the Billy style in the past, and with a little extra 30% off sale incentive, I can’t resist. This pair - in that cool-girl acid-wash 80s grey, is made from rigid denim with a high rise. The description says they are skinny, but on me, they are more of a straight leg. I’ll cut the hem so they are a touch cropped and rock a distressed look. So cool.
02 ASTR THE LABEL TOPCOAT
I’ve been low-key on the hunt for a grey coat, and this one looks promising. Usually I’m limited (not in a bad way, but it’s reality) to J.Crew, as they carry P00 in outerware, but this label, which is new to me but looks cool, seems to carry small sizes. I’m going to rent it via Nuuly and see how it looks / feels. I want to like it - the double-breasted style, gold buttons, and herringbone-patterned fabric is intriguing. We’ll see.
03 APC GRACE SMALL BAG
I want a Celine Box Bag. And a Celine Teen Triomphe. Unfortunately, I don’t quite have a $4,000 bag budget at the moment. So I’ve been on the hunt for a good alternative. Enter: A.P.C. - still French, beautiful leather, right shape and size, gold details. Still not cheap, but at least cheaper. Planning on this satiating my designer bag craving for the year. It’s a beauty.

04 SEZANE SKIRT
Mini skirts and me have a love / hate (mostly hate) relationship. But this lovely number from Sezane has me jumping at another chance to embrace the style. It’s big, which I expected, so I’ll tailor it, but first impressions are it’s solidly constructed, good quality fabric, and, obvi, super on trend. I’ll report back.

05 ANTHROPOLOGIE LADY JACKET
Lady jackets are one of my favorite new trends. And I’ve hit it pretty hard. I went from zero to a solid dozen within the span of just a few months. This one, with its textured knit fabric and gold buttons, feels structured yet… chill? It’s giving me Paris-meets-So-Cal.

06 AVEC LES FILLES COAT
Another new-to-me brand. I got this coat through Nuuly, a clothing rental service I’m trying out, and feel in love. It’s not my style, per se, I don’t think if I saw it on rack I would be drawn to it, but putting it on for the first time - oh.my.god. The fit is amazing in the PXXS, and it feels so luxe - the fabric is heavyweight, the sleeves hit at just the right point, it’s fitted in the shoulders and the waist, the tuxedo lapels ooze cool-girl. The length is long - hits me mid-calf, which is so cool and chic right now. Wearing it open, wearing it closed, it adds so much polish. Big fan.

07 MARGAUX MARY JANE FLAT
We’ve established Mary Janes are cool. A skeptic at first, I’m a true believer, thanks to these Margaux flats. For those unfamiliar: Margaux is a newish label based in NYC that makes the most lovely, simple, comfortable shoes. And they make them in 33.5 / 34. This brand is quickly taking over my shoe closet, and I love how they look with everything from jeans to trousers to skirts and dresses. They are that perfect neutral shoe that somehow also elevates your entire outfit. I love.

08 SEZANE SHIRT
How cute is this!? The Tomboy Shirt is the smaller of Sezane’s two cotton button downs, and I can’t resist this sweet sweetheart print. I feel like it adds a very subtle pop of red that’s so in right now, but also it’s just so cute. Def getting.
