ALL THE THINGS
I WANT TO BUY
A recurring series of all the pretty things I want. Some I bought, some I’m pining for, some might never make it to my closet. But a girl can dream.
01 CHLOE FLATS
Fancy flats - and they’re on sale!? Chloe’s signature scallop detailing is such a mood, and I’m loving that burgundy hue right now. I will say, I have the Lauren heel, and bummer news, they aren’t that comfortable. I don’t know if I can justify the spend (even at 40% off), knowing that these flats might rub and blister. But they are cute.
02 J.CREW LADY JACKET
I’m in my Lady Jacket Era, officially. I’ve been collecting jackets like it’s my damn job. I’ll do a more dedicated post on the subject, but I like the v-neck styling on this one, the gold buttons, and the navy tweed. J.Crew’s jackets have been pretty spot-on this season - good quality, fits are running small (doesn’t come in petite but a 00 has been fitting great), and they are super chic to boot. Excited for this one.
04 J.CREW LADY JACKET
I’ve been waiting for this one to drop. First spotted in J.Crew’s winter lookbook last month, I had been anxiously refreshing J.Crew’s website every Tuesday, hoping to finally see it available. Yesterday, it finally arrived, and I bought it immediately. The Emilie runs really small, so an XXS will fit perfectly. Love the heavy cotton weave, it’s one of those pieces that can be dressed up, dressed down. I can’t wait to add it to my closet - kinda didn’t feel complete without it.
03 CLARE V. GRANDE FANNY
Do I want to admit how much I love my fanny pack? Not really, but I will here because this is a safe space. I bought one of these on a bit of a whim over the summer and oh. my. god. so handy. You can literally be hands-free, moving through the world without a cumbersome purse hanging off your side. This is the bag I’m reaching for when traveling, heading to Home Depot, going out in nature, seriously a great investment. Life changing.
05 AESOP GLOAM EAU DE PARFUM
Aesop is one of my fave beauty brands. Their products work wonders on my skin, not to mention their packaging is gorg. I have the Marrakech eau de parfum, but it’s starting to run low and I like the idea of switching it up to Gloam, which leans more into florals with citrus with notes of iris, jasime sambac, and orange flower, but still has that deeper spice base that keeps it from being too sweet.
06 SEZANE SWEATER
This blog is just becoming a Sezane fan girl page. Every single thing I’ve gotten from this brand has been life-changing. I’m starting to learn what pieces are going to fit better than others on me, and this Otto jumper, with it’s 20” length (but probably smaller in XXS, and they measure a small), is going to be proportionally a great fit. I’m imagining it’ll hit above my hips, so I can tuck it into skirts, high-waisted trousers, etc. etc. I can’t decide on the color, I like both the ecru and the yellow, so maybe I should just get both? Ugh, I think I just convinced myself to finally pull the trigger on it just by writing this. Plus, it’s alpaca, so it’s going to be super soft and not itch at all and fine… I’m buying it. Will report back.
07 SEZANE CROP TROUSERS
What is this color - butter? I’m here for it. A little more personality than an ecru pant, these linen blend pants feel like a solid workwear addition to the rotation, especially for spring.
08 EVERLANE CARDIGAN
Remember when Everlane totally shook up the retail landscape with their simple fits and DTC model? What a time. Their heyday may have passed, but they still make nice pieces ever now and then and this one looks like a good one worth investing in. Simple, wear-it-everyday cotton piece. Bonus points for the stripes.
